Roy Lee Jefferson was one of the greatest football wide receivers that played in the National Football League.  In his twelve seasons he played with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Colts, and Washington Redskins. By the time he retired he had played 162 regular season games, had 451 receptions for 7,539 yards and 52 touchdowns averaging 16.7 yards per catch.  He was a super bowl champion, 3x all pro, and the only player in 10 years to gain 1,000 yards back-to-back (68,69).  In that same year, he led the league in total yards gained.  Every Hall of Fame player that competed against him and played with him believes he should in the Hall of Fame, but he's not!  He was a great humanitarian...and perhaps too boisterous for his time.  This is his story.
